The purpose of this project was to overhaul an existing website for a local business. I worked on improving the user experience for Koolen Fine Arts's website.
The main problems with the original website were issues with visual consistency, poor content organization and a sub-par user experience due to various readability issues such as poor font choice and colors.  During the design process the team I worked with made sure to look out for a variety of factors when deciding the best way to approach the website redesign.
When planning website redesign, I considered factors such as the visual appeal, usability, as well as the ability to fulfill Koolen Fine Arts purpose as an art gallery and art service provider. After iterating upon various concepts  created a more minimal design was chosen - using a red color scheme that would provide visual consistency and appeal. The information was condensed and made more succinct to appeal to a broader range of customers.
For website content focus was placed primarily on highlighting the vintage artwork on display as well as providing summaries of Koolen's art services.
